Bhanu Jayanti 2021, Online Poem Recitation Competition Organised By Hamro Swabhiman - Delhi


On 11th July 2021, Under the occasion of Renowned Nepali Poet and Writer Bhanubhakta Acharya's Birthday, A Central Unit ( Delhi ) of Hamro Swabhiman Organized a poem recitation competition Online in the Nepali Language.

This competition was solely for children under the age bar of two categories which are,

1. The children under the age of 15 years.

2. The children between the age of 15-25 years.


The Competition was flooded with an enormous number of Talented and skillfully gifted children majorly residing in West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Delhi.


This online competition was organized under the presence of respectful and well-known senior writer Lil Bahadur Chetri as a Chief Guest.


The Judges Panel included respected individuals who are experts in their field : Shree Gyan Bahadur Chetri, Dr. Jeevan Rana, Dr. Dashrath Karel, Shree Bhupendra Adhikari, Shree Vishnu Gurud and Dr. Tek Narayan Upadhayay.


This Successful Event was hosted and handled by Inspiring Personality Yoga Guru Dr. Mohan Karki.


The Children prepared their Poems beforehand and the language used for delivering the poem was Nepali as per the judging criteria.

Other judging criteria also mentioned 'The use of Costumes' which is the traditional Nepali outfit, That would help the children get some extra points, Hence many children were seen giving their performance wearing traditional Nepali Outfit with decorative Nepali ornaments.

Along with that Children would get marks for their Body Gestures, Expressions, and Postures.

The event ended with a great response and out of many Talented and skilled children some outstanding Children were given the title of Merit Winners and few children were awarded the consolation Prize. The merit winners and consolation prize holders are as follows :-

Third Merit Winner - Rasagya Gurung

Consolation Prize - Sanskriti Sarma, Avishkar Khatiwada


The Purpose of the competition was to dedicate a tribute to the Great Nepali Poet Bhanubhakta Acharya and Also to keep the Nepali language culture alive in the heart of the fresh Nepali blood of India.


This was a great initiative taken by Team Hamro Swabhiman.

Overall the event was extremely successful and smoothly conducted and ended up bringing joy to many audiences who attended the live online event on Facebook.

  Introduction India won freedom due to the blood and tears shed by hundreds of nameless revolutionaries and their families who braved British barbarity and faced death, deportation, imprisonment and forfeiture of property.
